The Pap Corps, as a benefit of membership, offers our members and their immediate families a VIP Referral Service. This is an unique and essential service enabling members and their immediate families to easily obtain appointments with University of Miami affiliated physicians.

It is our pleasure to provide this service.  Here are the guidelines: 

--Patients or their representatives should call the Venetian Isles Referral Advocate FIRST (Sarah Ader: 738-7972).  Please have insurance information handy. DO NOT CALL the University of Miami personnel yourself.

--Only the advocate will contact the University.

--Please remember that we cannot handle a case if a patient has already contacted University doctors.

--The advocate will relay the information to the UM representative who will then contact the patient and an appointment will be made with the appropriate physician.  

--All information is held in strictest confidence.

This program is solely for The University of Miami, recommendations for other doctors or hospitals is not available.

Patients should always obtain copies of their CAT or PET Scans, MRI’s x-rays and lab reports.  

Unfortunately, since many members are unaware of this program, we are often contacted for help after the patient has exhausted all other avenues. We can possibly provide better assistance and more timely medical care if theVIP program is made use of early.  

If you need transportation for an appointment at UM/Sylvester, you can have a van take you to Miami from the Deerfield Office.  You need to call the Transportation Unit at 305-243-5285.  The van will take the patient and one other person.  The cost of this service is $20.
